    It's been announced that the construction of the leisure life circle in Blue Silicon Valley Core Area has begun. Two landscape support projects, Nanbo River (through a scientific research incubator) and Wenquan River (through the CBD – central business district) have already begun. Ocean Theme Park will also be constructed in the CBD before the end of this year.

    According to the latest plan of Blue Silicon Valley Core Area, by 2060, the core area will have a population of 700 thousand, among whom the number of scientific researchers will be over 200 thousand. In addition, it has been decided to build an elegant, comfortable and leisure life and work circle so as to attract more talents.

    "The life and work circle is a mature idea," a spokesman for the project said. There are also plans to build a group of towns, concentrating on the functions of living, scientific research and business.

    With an investment of 300 million yuan ($48.81million), the 3.7-kilometre-long Wenquan River is designed to be a leisure life area and ecological green belt. The project is divided into three parts, including the construction of a 30,000 square meters large wetland island, a 300 meter-long skywalk, a 20,000 sqm large human history leisure area and so on.

    In addition, plans have also been formulated for a sports leisure area, wetland experience area and other relative areas along the 1.8 kilometer-long Nanbo River, with an investment of 100 million yuan.
