The Qingdao Olympics Regatta promotion group was established recently. In the course of 454 days ahead of the 2008 Olympic games, the Regatta promoters will preach about Olympic notions and knowledge to the local community and promote the sailing sport among the Qingdao people.

　　This group, made up of staff from the Qingdao Communist Party Committee, the Olympic Sailing Center and the voluntary organization under the Qingdao Youth League, targets mainly on government departments, enterprises, schools, and residential areas.

　　The establishment of this organization was to disseminate in a larger scale the Olympic concepts and information about the preparation of great event and to engage more people to serving Olympics. The group members should raise their awareness of responsibility, learn hard, and prepare materials well so as to make their promoting work well received. Meanwhile they should also pay close heed to people's opinions, and illustrate objectively on various requests.
