Headed by Wang Fushan, vice commanding officer of the North Sea Fleet, the guided missile destroyer, Qingdao and its depot ship, Hongzehu, after a 79-day voyage, successfully visited the USA, Canada, and Philippines and has returned to Qingdao recently.

　　Th e full crew of officers and sailors have brought the Chinese people's goodwill to the other side of the Pacific and showed to them the Chinese Navy's morale and civility. This visit also inspired the patriotic feelings of the overseas Chinese and strengthened cohesion among them. During the 20,000-seamile voyage, the Fleet sailed through wind and waves, hurricanes, tropical regions and narrow channels, escaped the attack of typhoons, and traversed three oceans.
