The New and Hi-tech Incubate Center and the Exhibition Center are the major parts of the city's technology street. It plays an important role in demonstrating new and hi-tech products, exchanging technological achievements, providing technology agency service and incubating new and high technologies. There have been more than 110 enterprises established in the center and over 160 in the exhibition center to date, with a total registered capital of over 80 million Yuan and the number of technicians and employees exceeding 13,000.

The Technology Street was founded in 1992 at Liaoning Road. The floor area used for science research and development and the sale of electric and information products has reached 120,000 sqm.
