　　The Shibei district government will make great efforts in the construction of 4 major projects, including the Jiaozhou Bay new industrial park, and 26 large projects. Efforts will also be focused on introducing a large group of projects invested by the Fortune Global 500 enterprises, which is expected to play an important role in driving the economic development of the district forward. Meanwhile, the district will improve the investment climate and streamline the complaint system to the civil servants in order to establish an excellent environment for the economic development. The Laoshan district government has readjusted its working outline. It has set up the plan of establishing 5 centers in the district, including Qingdao New and Hi-tech Industrial Research and Development Center and Qingdao Tourism Resort Center in order to upgrade the district's regional competitiveness. The economic and technological development zone will focus its efforts on the development of 3 characteristic economies, namely, the port, the industry and the grand tourists' industry. In addition, it will build up the household and electric production base, the petrochemical base and the steel production base especially for auto making, container and shipbuilding.
