On July 9th, Secretary of city party committee Du Shicheng had an on-line talk with local people and answered questions that deeply concerned by the general public.

　　The questions raised by the local people on-line were mainly focused on the city development, including the dev elopment of the port economy, how to solve the problems on water resources, how to improve the city's cultural environment and how to build up the city government with high working efficiency, renovation and probity. There were also the problems closely connected with people's lives, for example, the residence community management. Du answered all the questions with humor and sincerity. During the one and a half hours' on-line talk, nearly 50,000 people logged on the web and raised some 1,700 questions, which reflects that the local people love Qingdao pay great attention to the development of the city and have great passion to give advice and suggestions to the government.
