Early last week, vice mayor Luo Yongming made an inspection to the city's environment improvement work. He pointed out that all the departments concerned should make active efforts to realize a radical cure of the problems in the city environment construction.

　　The departments concerned including the city construction commission, the city planning administration, the city gardening administration, the city state earth administration and the officials from the district governments attended the inspection. The inspection team found there were still big problems that make an unfavorable impact to the city environment. For example, there is a large amount of garbage gathered at the seaside area around Maidao Village in Laoshan District, which destroys the beautiful scenery along the sea. There are a lot of illegal buildings and garbage at the north slope of Fushan Mountain. Lou made the requirement that all the departments concerned should strengthen their efforts in environment improvement. All the illegal buildings should be demolished as soon as possible. A long-term management mechanism should be established, which can put all the environment-damaging actions under control. Meanwhile, the local people's morality level should be upgraded. The city government has launched the campaign of city environment improvement. Everybody should take the responsibility and participate in the actions of building excellent city environment. （top86）
