The planned Olympic Village project is
adjacent to the Olympic Water Sports Center and the Central Business Area, with
total land coverage of approximately 4.2 hectares and building space of
approxi
mately 84,000m2. Construction items include buildings for the reception,
accommodation and recreation facilities for the athletes, referees and service
personnel during the Olympic Games. Foreign investments will be used for the
project, which will start construction in 2003. Attention will be paid to the
subsequent functions during design and construction to secure sustainable
utilization of the project and unified economic and social benefits.
