As the partner city of Beijing to host the 2008 Olympic Games, Q ingdao's notability in the world is becoming more and more popular. The number of the visitors has been increasing due to the strong promotion efforts to the overseas market. From January to October this year, the number of tourists reached 344,000, representing a year-on-year increase of 25.2%, with a foreign currency income of $187 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.6%. Nearly 100 local hotels realized a total income of 1.2 billion yuan, 76 million more than that of the same period last year.
