From the beginning of this year to now, the Shandong Branch of Bank of China realized the international balance accounts exceeding $10.2 billion, which makes it the first commercial bank with the international balance accounts above $10 billion in Shandong Province.

Depending upon the advantage of its branches all over the world, the Shandong Branch actively provides all kinds of services to the Fortune Global 500 enterprises that have put investment in both Shandong and Qingdao as well as the major foreign trade enterprises in Qingdao. Since 2000, the branch has settled the international balance accounts in Qingdao of $12.4 billion and the business financial transaction of $1.5 billion, which plays an important role in supporting the development of the local foreign trade economy. In an announcement made last week, it would raise a fund of $3 billion to support the enterprises in Shandong to run businesses abroad.
