(Qingdao Aug 17) On Aug 18, "Good Luck Beijing--2006 Qingdao International
Regatta" will start. Director of event operation Sun Lijie said that all the
work
has been ready, and the event operation system has started.
Until yesterday, 464 sailors from 41 countries and regions are sure to take
part in this regatta. They include 22 sailing teams from Europe, 9 from Asia, 3
from South America, 4 from North America, 2 from Oceania and 1 from Africa. The
containers of the sailing equipments have arrived at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing
Center in succession. Some of the sailors started the trial of sailing. The
media in charge of the report of the events have also arrived at Qingdao.
At the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, the volunteers have already worked.
They are doing the last preparation work to welcome the coming of 2006 Qingdao
International Regatta.
As the first test of 2008 Olympic Games, citizens pay more attention to
this regatta. Until 17:00, over 1000 tickets have been booked through dialing
11185. Now more than 1500 tickets of audience boats have been booked through
