(Qingdao Aug 11) On Aug 10, Mayor Xia Geng met Qiang Wei, Vice Secretary of Beijing, at the Badaguan Hotel. Xia Geng showed his warmest welcome for their coming and introduced the preparation work of 2006 Qingdao International Regatta to them.

Xia Geng said that the u pcoming international regatta would be the highest level competition in our history. We would try our best to undertake this regatta well and accumulate experience for 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition.
