Elder fights crime on streets
¡¡¡¡An elderly woman in Zibo, Shandong Province, has been patrolling the
streets voluntarily for 20 years, preventing theft.
¡¡¡¡Cui, in her 70s, has caught 100 thieves in that time
. She also organized a
group of elderly locals to set up a community patrol team to keep watch.
¡¡¡¡Cui looks after bikes left unlocked in the street, waiting beside them for
hours until the owners return.
¡¡¡¡She said she was once attacked by thieves, but this would not deter her
from patrolling the streets.
