According to the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Committee, the 2007 trial Olympic Sailing competition beginning from August 9, 2007 to August 24 will be held at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. Among the sport events, the scratch competition is scheduled to start off on August 15.

    The 2007 Olympic Regatta sets that each country can send only one ship for each event, unlike this year's three ships. The number of athletes and team staff will be around 570, less than this year's, while that of the ISAF members and technical staff from home and abroad will be larger than in 2006.
