Mount Tai was selected as International Geopark, at the second UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) International Conference on Geoparks held in Belfast, capital of Northern Ireland on Monday. Mount Tai Geopark embraces the oldest stratum in north China, covering an area of about 158.6 square kilometers.
