BEIJING, April 5 (Xinhua) -- A picture album depicting the first-ever Chinese-Russian joint military exercise last year was published on Wednesday.

　　With text in Chinese and Russian, the album offers a panoramic view of the military drill over 600 photos, said chief editor Chen Shoumin.

　　The album went on sale worldwide from Wednesday and the initial print run was 2,005, Chen said.

　　He presented a copy of the book to Alexey Sukhov, Russia's military attache to Beijing, here Wednesday.

　　"This album will be dedicated to China's Year of Russia this year," Chen said.

　　Sukhov said he would send the album back to Russia as soon as possible.

　　The China-Russia military exercise, dubbed "Peace Mission 2005", was held from August 18 to 25 in Russia's far east city of Vladivostok and east China's Shandong Peninsula and coastal waters. Enditem
