It is learned from the fashion news conference held in Beijing that 2004 Qingdao Fashion Week will begin on December 26th. The topic for this year will be ---- fashion and business cooperation.

　　Vice principal of the textile industry association of China, Chen shujin, and othe r leaders from the clothing and textile import/export organizations and journalists from home and abroad attended the news conference.

　　This fashion week will consist of nine categories, including the 2004 Qingdao international costume exhibition, publication of the latest work of famous designers from home and abroad, brand exhibition, “a citizen fashion show”----- design competition for nonprofessionals. .

　　As with the last three fashion weeks in previous years, this year’s will focus on five aspects: t international representation -----costume exhibition will set up 330 international seats, accounting for 30% of total, the latest fashion designs, with dozens of famous designers invited from home and abroad. Another aspect will be to provide more and better exhibitions. Included also will be the business purpose and more citizen involvement.

　　Liu Mingjun, director of the Municipal Bureau of Foreign trade said: “ This fashion week will be able to build up the local textile industry and improve its competitive ability to get Qingdao textiles more involved in international cooperation.”
