Probe No 2, the second satellite of a Sino-European joint space probe programme, known as the Doub le Star Project, was successfully sent into space at the Taiyuan Satellite Launching Center, in North China, at 3:05pm July 25, 2004. The polar orbiting satellite entered into a preset orbit 30 minutes after the launch. [Xinhua]
