In the morning of July 13, Han Yuqun, the deputy secretary of Shandong Provincial Party committee and the provincial Governor inspected the Shandong sports stadium and surrounding environment for the Asian Cup matches in Jinan. He pointed out emphatically that all related departments should attach importance to the preparatory work, organize meticulously, arrange carefully, do the preparatory work wholeheartedly, ensure the smooth and secure carryout of every game.

Han Yuqun, together with vice-governor Wang Junmin, Zhang Zhaofu, SunShoupu, came to the Shandong sports center at their first stop. They inspected stadium facilities such as playfield, lounging rooms for referees and athletes, press center, TV monitor center, underground parking, etc., got information about project construction, usage, and administrative situation in detail. Afterwards, they checked the afforestation and renovation of peripheral roads of Shandong sports center, put forward concrete demand on perfecting project construction further.

At their second stop in Nanjiao hotel, Han Yuqun and other provincial officers listened to work report of facility construction, security, news release, reception, etc. from related departments of Jinan. Han Yuqun said, under the leadership of the Organizing Committee for the Asian Cup in Jinan, the stadium and peripheral environmental construction made good progress, sports facilities reached domestic first-class level, every preparatory work was carried out carefully. All of these works had laid a good foundation for the Asia Cup matches. Han Yuqun pointed out that the Asian Cup match is the most high-level football game in Asia. As one of the four host cities, the organization and preparation was related to the international images of Jinan and even Shandong directly. Our task was honorable and arduous. We must organize and arrange the matches well properly, undertake Asian Cup match through successfully, to make Shandong and Jinan better known in Asia and in the world.

Han Yuqun emphasized that we should do a good job of reception conscientiously. Civil aviation, railway, highway, frontier inspection, customs, power supply, hygiene, hotels should fulfill respective duties and improve their service, make sure responsibilities be clear to specific person, manage in accordance with the law, mind their manners. He said, security was a cardinal task, all related departments should obey the direction of the Organizing Committee for Asian Cup in Jinan, do well in the preparatory scheme, safeguard the public security during the game period. The propaganda work should be strengthened to improve citizen's ethnical standards and comprehensive levels, cherish our city, watches the matches politely, establish the good image of Jinan. The ending work of facility construction of the stadium should be finished as soon as possible. The facilities should be managed and safeguarded well to ensure the full play of the role of first-class sports facilities. Related departments of Shandong and Jinan should take the general interests of the Asian Cup above all else, cooperate and coordinate voluntarily, make the Asian Cup matches well and successfully conducted in Jinan.
