The city government has set the Vegetable Basket project plan, namely the vegetable and the non-staple foods supply project for this year.

Efforts of this year's Vegetable Basket project will be focused on food hygiene, safety and heath. The city government will put grea t efforts to strengthen the regulation over the vegetables and the non-staple foods supply industry and to establish the related standard systems. The production capacities of the non-polluted vegetable production bases and the officially appointed slaughterhouses will be expended. In addition, the utilization of information network management will be adopted in the Vegetable Basket project. The Green Channel for vegetables and the non-staple foods supply service system will be established in order to guarantee the market supply of the related commodities.(QDTV__Seven Days)
