51 key projects with an investment exceeding 100 million Yuan each were going well in 2002. The used investment reached 6 billion Yuan. 16 projects were completed and put into operation last year.

The Municipal Economic Committee made good use of the preferential policies in 2002 . More than 20 local projects were listed among the key projects of the country and banks granted 2 billion Yuan of loans to them. By the end of last year, 16 such projects were completed, 6 more compared to the goal set at the beginning of last year.

Most of the completed projects are in the household appliances and other large enterprises. These projects are of large budget and high technology. The special refrigerator project was put into use in Haier Group, making the group the largest special refrigerator exporter in China with an annual production capacity of 3 million refrigerators.

These projects, also put into use in other large enterprises including Hisense, Steel Group and Growful Group, not only optimized the enterprises' products mix but also became economic increasing points of these enterprises.
