The select ion of 2002 China's Top 500 Enterprises was released recently. 11 local enterprises were on the list.

Haier Group was listed at 16th with a total sales income of 60.2 billion yuan. Hisense was at 69 with a sales volume of 16.1 billion. The others were Qingdao Steel Group, Qingdao Beer, Estong, Double Star, Kailian, Aucma, Shandong Qili Group, Qingdao Port and The Guangyuanfa Group.

The selection of the Top 500 Enterprises is judged by the enterprise's sales income in 2001 in accordance with international practices. The participant enterprises voluntarily registered themselves for application and were recommended by the local industrial associations.
