According to Qingdao Customs House the city's' export increased 26% to reach $827 million in July, setting a new record for the city's export.

In the first 5 months export maintained an increase of 3%. Qingdao issued

bylaws to curb the down-tendency of export increase pace. In July the export saw an obvious increase. Foreign invested enterprise increased by 22% to reach $576 million, accounting for 69.7% of the general export value. Machinery and hi-tech products maintained rapid growth.
