The 2017 Qingdao International Standardization Forum will be held from June 27th to June 29th. Guided by the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Standardization Commission of the PRC and Shandong Provincial People’s Government and hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, with the theme of “Standards make cities more intelligent”, the forum will build up the bridge for Qingdao to connect the international world and enhance the international influence of Qingdao in Chinese standardization work.

    The Qingdao International Standardization Forum will form the structure of “162”. “1” refers to the theme forum. “6” means 6 special topic forums including “Voluntary sustainable Standard Chinese National Platform Work Conference”, “Intelligent Manufacturing, Standard-oriented”, “Standards Promoting the Development of High-speed Railway Equipment and Technological Innovation”, “International Standards Supporting the Sustainable Urban Development”, “Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Development and Standardization” and “International Standardization Talent Training and Education”. “2” means simultaneously holding two international conferences namely ISO Central Secretariat Conference and Sino-Germany Standardization Cooperation Conference.

    Currently senior officials of all three international standardization organizations namely ISO, IEC and ITU have confirmed to attend the forum. Wang Yu
