Long-established enterprises, in particular those with serious pollution, have made major breakthroughs in relocation, according to the Qingdao Relocation Office. By the end of 2016, the city closed or relocated 100 enterprises in total, and 60 of them were pollution enterprises.

    According to initial statistics, after 60 polluting enterprises are closed or relocated, in the urban area of Qingdao, 2,318 tons of industrial sewage water will be reduced every year, accounting for 72% of total amount of sewage water; 1,805 tons of COD emission can be reduced each year, accounting for 71% of the total amount of COD; 127 tons of Ammonia Nitrogen emission can be reduced each year, accounting for 71% of the total amount of Ammonia Nitrogen emission; 5,480 tons of SO2 emission can be reduced each year, accounting for 23% of the total amount of SO2 emission; 5,890 tons of NOx can be reduced each year, accounting for 30% of the total amount of NOx; and 15,863 tons of dust can be reduced each year, accounting for 80% of the total amount of dust.
