On October 18th, the Defontaine Qingdao Mechanic Co., Ltd. invested by Thyssen Krupp, one top 500 global enterprise and the West Coast New Zone of Qingdao signed an investment agreement. According to the agreement, the project of large megawatt wind driven generator parts has formally settled down in the area.

    The total project investment is 31.5 million Euros. It is planned to build a large megawatt wind driven generator parts manufacturing base, expanded new fields such as offshore wind power equipment, design and produce ring parts, flange for over 6 megawatt wind driven generator, large diameter slewing bearing for offshore wind driven generators and variable pitches and yaw bearings with the largest diameter in the world and equip the base with the world-advanced technology, production facilities, and the most optimized management.

    In as early as 2006, Thyssen Krupp invested and founded Defontaine Qingdao Mechanic Co., Ltd., which specializes in the manufacturing, distribution, and after sales services of high quality precision bearings and slewing bearings used for wind driven generators and civil space shuttles.
