In 2016, with the help of key projects such as the FAW-Volkswagen Eastern China manufacturing base, FAW new energy vehicle Laixi base and backbone enterprises, such as Sino Truk Qingdao Heavy Industry Company and Qingte Group, the Qingdao auto industry chain consistently expands scale and improves innovation ability, and the future is bright. In the 1st half of 2016, the city has manufactured 335,000 vehicles and achieved a CNY 42.18 billion production value, a year-on-year growth rate of 4.9%. The export delivery reached CNY 2.7 billion, a year-on-year growth rate of 37.4%.
