Both banks of the Dagu River are to be excellent quality ecological resources after the Dagu river comprehensive renew project was completed, the Dagu river is to be a new attraction in the Qingdao tourism industry. A Dagu in-depth trip system, which includes 10 themes and 13 feature towns alongside the banks, has emerged. The Qingdao Dagu River provincial eco tourism & vacation zone is very popular, by now the zone has attracted 33 key projects, with CNY 28.2 billion investment, and achieved the total fixed asset investment of CNY 4.16 billion, the bank zone of Dagu River centered with the vacation zone has already started to generate tourism income.

    The Qingdao Dagu River provincial eco tourism & vacation zone is in the southeast part of Jiaozhou city, 8km south of the Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, it is north of the Jiaozhou national economic & tech development zone, and west of the Red Island economic zone. The zone is also in the central part of northern city area of “joint section of three cities”, and the entrance of Dagu river which is the eco axle, it covers an area of 31.8 square kilometers.

    Because of outstanding regional and eco advantages, the previous Shaohai international tourism & vacation was renamed the Dagu River provincial eco tourism & vacation zone by the Shandong provincial government this January, which means the zone is stepping into a new development phase that integrates both eco tourism and vacation.
