Heavy rain and thunder will intrude Qingdao, according to weather forecast of Qingdao recently broadcasted.

    64-year-old Guo Fengying, the director of the Longtan Road Community of Ningxia Road Street of Shibei District has slept in the sofa in the office of community residents’ committee for 2 whole nights to guarantee the instant rescue team organization once any accident happens. She left there for home to sleep after the extreme weather alarm stopped.

    Guo Fengying, who is called “the Street Premier”, stayed overnight in the office during every heavy snow or raining days since she was elected as the director in 2001.

    The Longtan Road community is in the old city zone of the Shibei District, the community has 2,200 households, more than 5,400 people; only 7 have property management over 60 resident building areas.

    “Guo promises that she turns her cellphone on 24 hours, no matter in which time we want to reach her, she can be reached. She has kept promise in past 16 years,” Qu Ru’e, a senior resident there, said.

    Doing all things from the perspective of public interest, never refusing a hard request gives Guo a good reputation among residents in the Longtan Road Community. Guo has been joined community director 3 times, every time receiving unanimous votes.

    Guo had two big surgeries, but she seldom told others from when she entered the hospital to leaving there. For a long period of time, Guo would go to the hospital for injection on the morning, and back to the community for work on the afternoon. No colleagues knew she was ill.
