Fangsuo, the bookstore giant from Guangzhou, revealed its mask in Vientaine City Chinese Resources in Qingdao. This is the 4th bookstore in China. The founder of Fangsuo Mao Jihong said the historic relation between Fangsuo and Qingdao, and expressed his vision about the future of Fangsuo. Celebrities such as renowned director Jia Zhangke came to the site to congratulate the opening.

    The opening ceremony started from reading I Am So Lucky, a poem written by Szymborska, by all tier-one employees of the store. The bookstore was filled with people even after 21:00 on opening day. Everyone was attracted by this labyrinth-like bookstore, which covers an area of 3,400 square meters and spans 100 meters; its 2 floors of space appears like a streamline.

    150,000 books fall in 50,000 categories on the 100-meter wall of the bookstore; they cover various areas such as civilization, literature, arts and life to lead the trend of reading. Arts and literature is the core theme of Fangsuo bookstore.

    In addition, the editor book series and concept wall are two bright spots of the store. Concept wall is a spirit wall that integrates over 10,000 books to show the change of the ideology. The editor book series define scope with editors’ knowledge and display books with theme, including enlightenment book series and new book series.

    The art living zone seems like a long-term established expo; over 3,000 kinds of goods with 90 brands from key design-famous areas all over the world are gathered here. Little Fangsuo put the drawing-book, children toys, and art life products together for children to view, hear, taste, read, play and think.
