Qingdao Liuting International Airport has launched a new air cargo transport route to Seoul, capital of South Korea, on March 10, according to local aviation authorities.
The scheduled international flight will link Shanghai, Seoul and Qingdao. A Boeing 737 aircraft by the Yangtze River Express will operate the route.

On March 10, the first flight, carrying 13.3 tons of cargo, took off from the Qingdao Liuting International Airport for Seoul.
The opening of the new airline aims to meet the increasing demand between Qingdao and South Korea. Bilateral trade between the two is expected to record increase thanks to the initialing of the free trade agreement (FTA) between China and South Korea on Feb 25.
