2014-11-20 16:44:35

There was a delegation from the Jingdong Group, China’s largest direct online seller, headquartered in Beijing, who paid a visit to the city of Qingdao, Shandong province, on Nov 14, to get some insight into the city’s investment environment to possibly build an e-commerce industry park there.

Gu Wenyuan, head of the delegation and director of the Group’s project development dept, had an opportunity to talk with Liu Mingjun, the city’s deputy mayor, and Ma Weigang, head of its commerce bureau.

Liu gave the visitors a warm welcome and started by explaining the city’s advantages in e-commerce and logistics thanks to some big deals, such as the new airport in Jiaozhou, on the outskirts of the city, and the Dongjiakou Harbor Area and said he believes the Group’s e-commerce industrial park will promote the city’s e-commerce business and that the city government will certainly give the green light to the project.

The Beijing-based Jingdong Group is China’s largest online direct sales company by transaction volume, with a Chinese market share of 54.3 percent in the second quarter of 2014, according to iResearch, a third-party market research firm. It carries a wide range of products at competitive prices that are delivered in a speedy, reliable way.
