The head of the city of Qingdao’s commerce bureau, in Shandong province, Ma Weigang, took a delegation to the 116th China Import and Export Fair, in the city of Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Nov 2, to do a thorough tour of the enterprises taking part, such as the Sino-German Ecopark Group, Tsingtao Brewery and Qingdao Ruizong Food Co.

Ma had a reason to visit the Guangzhou fair because he has encouraged Qingdao enterprises to explore international markets, improve their publicity, and create brands to contribute more to the city’s import and export business.

The fair, also known widely and popularly as the Canton Fair, is a Guangzhou, Guangdong fixture held biennially, going all the way back to 1957. It has become a major site for the import and export business and attracts thousands of companies, organizations and participants from China and abroad.
