The 2014 “Bitburger” German Trade Fair held its opening ceremony in Guantao Street in Qingdao, east China's Shandong province on September 3.

With more than 4,000 kinds of commodities, the fair will last from September 3 to 7, attracting nearly 300,000 businessmen and visitors from home and abroad.

The fair has been introducing more and more famous brands for Chinese consumers, such as Bitburger Brewery Group and Siemens. The German high-end brand “Cube”, one of Europe’s top sellers of bicycle, was shown off as one of the Fair’s highlights. Moreover, there were various luxury cars such as Porsche’s Cayenne and Panamera as well as Volkswagen’s imported cars.

Visitors can communicate with German chefs about western food culture while tasting German-style sausages and roasted suckling pig and drinking different kinds of beer.

Besides the trade negotiations, cultural exchange activities and commodity show, the fair will also hold a photography exhibition for photography enthusiasts.
