KABUL, Dec. 10 -- The U.S.-led Coalition forces killed several militants during an operation targeting Taliban weapons facilitators Sunday in southern Afghan province of Helmand, said a statement released on Monday.

       The Coalition forces conducted a precision strike targeting a building on a compound containing several militants including the weapons smuggler during the course of operations in the Musa Qala district, the statement said.

       The Coalition forces employed a combination of precision-guided and accurate, conventional munitions, destroying the building and killing several militants, it added.

       Some 55,000 foreign troops are being deployed in Afghanistan for keeping security and fighting militants.
