As one of the six comprehensive test races as well as one of the three Olympic trial matches, the 2007 Qingdao International Olympic Regatta passed the inspection of the IOC, the ISF and the "good luck" Bejing Olympic Organizing Committee, showing that Qingdao has been in the forefront of the 19 "good luck "Olympic preparation activities.

       The assessment report shows that the sports venues, the technological system and among other hardwares have already met the Olympic requirements. The facilities functioned well, the volunteers worked well and the sports event and the urban management such as security, traffic, environment protection, medical service, food and accommodation coordinated well.

       The IOC says in the report that the 27 items relating to the sailing event had all gone through the most comprehensive test designated by the IOC. The IOC highly praised Qingdao's sports facilities, the management of the media, the organization of the opening and closing ceremonies while the "good luck" Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee's comment was "the operation ran smoothly, the facilities were superbly appointed, the service proved to be excellent and the competition as well as the technological backup departments carried out a very successful full dress rehearsal. "
