The Qingdao forest fire prevention conference was held recently. The conference asked government departments of all level to practice the system of leader's responsibility, fix clear targets, maintain social stability and protect people's lives and property.

       Since Qingdao has been in the forest fire prevention period, the conference reiterated the building of fire prevention facilities, and the enhancement of the competent fire prevention teams. All departments should strictly observe the forest fire report system and each office concerned should be on alert 24 hours a day.

       Qingdao will soon increase long-distance monitoring stations up to 100 in key areas, and comprehensively treat the firetrap areas, and increase material backups for fire prevention so as to fully implement the forest fire control work.
