The International Olympic Committee's museum piece made its premier trip to Qingdao recently, with Hu Shaojun, vice mayor of Qingdao and other Beijing Olympic Committee officials attending the opening ceremony.
The 731 museum pieces from Lausanne's Olympic Museum are of great value for the Olympic Committee. The most striking ones are the Olympic torches and medals that date back to one hundred years ago. This has been the first time for those treasures to leave the European land and make their premier show in Asia. In addition, the bicycle used in the first Olympic Games, the sports equipment and garments, the mascots, the Olympic souvenirs and stamps etc. from every Games were also exhibited.
