¡¡¡¡The 2005 China International Consumer Electronics Show (SINOCES), China's
largest consumer electronics event, opens July 1 in Qingdao. Sponsored by the
Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the producer of the International CES,
the fourth annual SINOCES runs July 1 through July 4 a
t the Qingdao
International Convention Center.
¡¡¡¡"SINOCES 2005 presents an excellent opportunity for CEA to reach out to the
untapped and rapidly growing Chinese consumer electronics market," said Gary
Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA. "Partnering with the China Electronics
Chamber of Commerce to host this event will allow us to increase the exposure of
SINOCES internationally as well as to help foster trade opportunities between
the United States and Chinese technology markets."
¡¡¡¡SINOCES is the only consumer technology event supported by the Chinese
Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry, the Chinese
Ministry of Science & Technology, and approved by the top Chinese
administration, the State Council.
¡¡¡¡The 2005 event features more than 80 global exhibitors and is expected to
draw more than 70,000 attendees from more than 50 countries. Exhibitors include
manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware,
content, technology delivery systems and related products and services. Several
SINOCES exhibitors such as Epson, Haier, Hisense, Samsung and Sony also will be
exhibiting at the 2006 International CES.
¡¡¡¡Running in conjunction with SINOCES, the Consumer Electronics Industry
Summit Forum brings together Chinese government officials and technology
industry leaders to discuss issues important to developing the global consumer
electronics market. At the forum, Shapiro delivers a keynote address focusing on
the growing importance of China in the global consumer electronics market.
