QINGDAO, June 22 (Xinhua) - The third foreign ministers' meeting of the
Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) decided to absorb Mongolia, the United Arab
Emirates and Iran as its new members.
This was announced by Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing here Tuesday
afternoon at a pres
s conference after the conclusion of the one-day ACD meeting.
The meeting ended up with issuance of the Declaration on Asian Cooperation,
and Qingdao Initiative, a document on energy cooperation.
Li said the meeting also decided to hold the fourth and fifth ACD foreign
ministers' meetings in Pakistan in 2005, and in Qatar in 2006, respectively.
